1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing GrabText from the Chrome Web Store, using the GrabText Chrome extension, or accessing grabtext.digitaltoolmaster.com (collectively the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not install or use the extension.

2. Description of the Service

GrabText is a free Chrome browser extension that allows users to:

• Draw a selection rectangle over any area of a webpage, including images, video frames, and canvas elements.
• Extract text using DOM text extraction or on-device OCR powered by Tesseract.js.
• Automatically copy the extracted text to the system clipboard.

The Service is provided free of charge. All processing occurs locally on the user's device. No user content is transmitted to external servers.

3. License to Use

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use GrabText on any Chrome-compatible browser you own or control, for personal or commercial purposes.

This license does not include the right to sublicense, sell, resell, transfer, assign, copy, modify, create derivative works from, or reverse-engineer the extension, except as permitted by applicable law or open-source license terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use GrabText only for lawful purposes. You must not use GrabText to:

• Extract, reproduce, or distribute content in violation of the copyright or intellectual property rights of any third party.
• Bypass or circumvent technical protection measures on websites or applications.
• Harvest personal data about other individuals without their consent.
• Violate the terms of service of any third-party website or application.
• Engage in any activity that violates applicable law in your jurisdiction.

5. Intellectual Property

Our intellectual property

The GrabText extension, website, logo, and all associated source code (excluding third-party components) are the intellectual property of digitaltoolmaster.com. All rights are reserved.

Third-party content

Text and content extracted by GrabText from webpages, images, or videos may be protected by copyright owned by third parties. GrabText does not claim any ownership over content extracted by users. Users are solely responsible for complying with applicable copyright law and the terms of source websites.

Feedback

If you submit feedback or bug reports, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use and incorporate that feedback into the Service without obligation to you.

6. Third-Party Software

GrabText incorporates the following open-source software:

• Tesseract.js — OCR engine, licensed under the Apache License 2.0. Copyright © 2018 jeromewu and contributors. Source: github.com/naptha/tesseract.js.
• Tesseract OCR — underlying OCR engine, Apache License 2.0.

Use of these third-party components is governed by their respective licenses. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy of third-party OCR outputs.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that OCR results will be accurate or complete, or that the Service will be compatible with all websites or operating systems. OCR is inherently imperfect — accuracy depends on image quality, font style, and language.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DIGITALTOOLMASTER.COM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: loss of data, inaccurate OCR results relied upon for important decisions, or copyright infringement claims arising from user-extracted content.

GrabText is a productivity tool intended for general use. It should not be relied upon as the sole source of truth for any critical, professional, legal, medical, or financial application.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference. In summary: GrabText collects no personal data, performs all processing locally, and transmits nothing to external servers.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to discontinue or modify the Service at any time without notice. You may terminate your use of the Service at any time by uninstalling GrabText from your browser. Uninstalling removes all extension data, including your saved language preference.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted at grabtext.digitaltoolmaster.com/terms.html with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
